L.F. Jennings is seeking an attorney to join our team in Falls Church, Virginia as In-House Counsel. This key team member will provide legal counsel and guidance for a variety of matters.
The ideal candidate will have at least five years of construction law experience.
Responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate prime contract agreements and subcontracts.
- Provide dispute resolution guidance.
- Facilitate relationships with and coordinate work with outside counsel.
- Oversee risk management resolutions.
- Review general legal documents and agreements.
Skills/Abilities
- Skilled in drafting and negotiating agreements and contracts.
- Demonstrable understanding of insurance and other loss control programs.
- Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment with associates and third parties.
- Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while maintaining deadlines.
Education and Experience:
- Juris Doctor Degree.
- Minimum of five years of construction law experience.
- Current licensure to practice law in the state of Virginia.
